Superior National at Lutsen Golf Course

If you thought Lutsen was just for skiing, think again!  The Poplar River flows down from Lutsen Mountains and right through the Superior National at Lutsen golf course.  This newly renovated golf course features an 18-hole rotation called the River and Canyon courses (each a 9-hole course), and a 9-hole rotation known as the Mountain 9-Hole.  So when you put away your skis, just pull out your clubs and head back on up to Lutsen!

The course is as beautiful as you can imagine considering it sits on one of the most beautiful pieces of property on Lake Superior's North Shore.  To the south, you will be greeted with sweeping views of Lake Superior.  To the north, the picturesque Lutsen Mountains Ski Area is a green, forested mountainside in the summer months.  In between, you will cross over the Poplar River as it flows through the golf course on its way to Lake Superior.

Even the non-golfer in your life will want to tag along to enjoy the scenery.

After your round of golf stop in at the Club House and grab an icy brew and sandwich at The Bar & Grill at Superior National.  They feature local brews on tap and occasionally some live music.  The Club House also has a full store to help you with any golf item needs you may have during your visit.

In  2018 a rare event occurred- there was a day in May when you were able to ski at Lutsen Mountains and golf at Superior National in the same weekend!  Whether or not that will ever happen again is yet to be determined, but one thing is for sure- there's never a dull moment here in Lutsen!

Superior National at Lutsen Golf Course also offers golf lessons, tournaments, and other events throughout the season.  Opening and closing dates vary based on the season, but they are usually open from mid-May through October.  Check out the Superior National at Lutsen website and their Facebook page for more information.  Through the website, you can also sign up for their eClub, book your tee time, and purchase items from their online store.
