Great Lutsen location on the Caribou Trail. This home was formally operated as a Bed & Breakfast and is now open for private vacation rentals, and all the homey touches remain in place. This property sits about halfway between the town of Lutsen and Caribou Lake on a hill that offers outstanding views of Lake Superior. The three level home provides privacy, yet can also accommodate up to 9 people with comfort.
At Coyote Hill you are directly adjacent to the area’s premier cross country ski trail system. You have the winter trifecta with this home – snowmobiling, cross country, and downhill skiing. You can ski right from the front door and catch multiple different trail systems and loops. You can also snowmobile from the driveway of the home and catch the “Lutsen Trail Breakers Trail System”, which will take you to the State Trail system and to “infinity and beyond”. In addition, you are just five minutes from Lutsen Mountains. Care to double down? Snowshoeing is great along the ridgeline of the Sawtooth Mountains, where the lake effect dumps significant amounts of snow. There are now groomed fat bike trails at Superior National Golf Course, as well. The Superior Hiking Trail offers wonderful snowshoe trails in the winter and this trail system is only two minutes away. Uffda. A lot to do! Better make it a long trip!
Now, for spring, summer, and fall... Wow…so much to offer. The fall colors are brilliant along the Coyote Ridgeline. Summer offers hiking, golfing, state parks, and so much more, all convenient to Coyote Hill. The quiet re-birthing of the forest in spring is a gift to experience. Come for a vacation to Coyote Hill and don’t pack lightly……you might stay forever. But should you choose to venture away from nature for a bit, you'll find plenty to do just a short drive away, as well. Grand Marais is just 20 miles away and offers many dining choices and locally operated shops for all of your vacation shopping needs. The resorts in the Lutsen area also offer full menu dining and gift shops so you won't have to head home to your loved ones with just your tales of the North Shore.
Pets are welcome with prior approval and an additional fee. 2 pet maximum.

Coyote Hill was very accommodating for our party of 6. There was plenty of space and private space. Deck was great. The location was very central to all we did over the weekend.

The teams members are helpful and polite to work with.
I thought the house and location were very nice. Easy trip to Grand Marias. I was concerned that there was no ac but the nights cooled down to the 50s which was lucky for this time of year.

Pretty good experience. Like I mentioned about them being able to find us another cabin, which worked out well for us.
We loved this cabin. I would stay there again in the future. Very spacious.

I liked the home well. The location was farther from Lutsen Mountains than I expected, though still very close. The amenities were sufficient. I best liked the porch and backyard. I least liked the lack of pots & pans for cooking. The service was fine as well.

Home was quite lovely and homey. Water pressure wasn't that great but this house was better than expected and our small group easily spread out in this massive space. The deck upstairs had a view of lake far off. Main deck was large and roomy but no view and with so many weeds and foliage below the bug were sooo bad literally had to bomb the yard n porch to prevent being eaten alive. The provided grill was a nice bonus! Thanks again! Already planning next visit

The home was very cozy but yet with room to stretch out! It was great to be within a few miles of Lutsen Mountains and right across the street to the snowmobile trails. Kids loved sledding down the hill in the back yard too! The house had everything we could ask for. Great fun was had!
