The house's design draws upon Scandinavian architectural attitudes and the related woodcraft traditions that are also a part of Minnesota's North Shore culture. - The heart of the site is the sauna, the ultimate refuge after a cold plunge in Lake Superior, offering a sheltered prospect toward the lake's endless horizon.
