Pikku Peruna, which means "Little Potato" in Finnish, is a beautiful home located on a hill overlooking Lake Superior with views of 5-Mile Rock. This private home is just a few miles outside of Grand Marais, Minnesota on Lake Superior's North Shore, set back in a boreal forest.

Pikku Peruna is a single-story home that has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and sits on a quiet road just five miles from downtown Grand Marais. A spacious yard and two lake-facing patios make it the perfect, peaceful retreat on the North Shore. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and is spacious enough for the whole family to prepare a meal together in. Or, relax in the living room in front of the gas fireplace and enjoy a family movie or game night. Sore muscles from a day of hiking the area's State Parks? Bathroom 1 features a jetted tub, perfect for soaking your muscles to prepare for another day of exploring.

Want to dip your toes into Lake Superior? Pikku Peruna is located just a short walk to Lake Superior where you can enjoy a long stretch of cobblestone shoreline that is perfect for agate hunting!

This Home is Dog Friendly! This home is dog-friendly for dogs up to 25 pounds with prior approval and an additional fee. Please contact us before you book if you plan on bringing your pet. 

Security Alert: There are security cameras located at the front of the house. These are used primarily for observing the driveway and front door for plowing/shoveling during the winter months.

Area Information

The location up the shore from Grand Marais means you have ample amounts of privacy but are also close to everything the North Shore has to offer. Miles of hiking, biking, snowmobiling, and cross-country ski trails are just a short drive away. Several state parks are also easy to access from this home. Or head on into Grand Marais and do some shopping at the unique ma and pa shops that make the area so unique. No chain stores here! The restaurants are also one of a kind! You could easily spend a month at Pikku Peruna and still find a new spot to explore and enjoy.
