Alpine Slide

Looking for a thrilling adventure while you’re visiting the North Shore? The Alpine Slide at Lutsen Mountains is a great choice! Take a chairlift ride to the summit of Lutsen’s Eagle Mountain, then hop on the provided sled and slide on down the half-mile twisting, turning track back to where you started.

Don’t fret - you control the speed the entire way down. Speed demon? Go full speed and enjoy a thrilling sensation as you fly down the twisting track. Or, take it slow and enjoy the beautiful surrounding sights that Eagle Mountain, Lake Superior, the Superior National Forest, and the Sawtooth Mountain Range has to offer.

It’s amusement-park-like fun for the whole family, with the North Shore twist that everyone craves. The slide is open from the end of May through mid to late October and is open to all ages. Children ages 2-5 ride free with a paid adult and children under 48’’ must be accompanied by an adult.

Getting There
Turn onto Ski Hill Road from Highway 61 (about 2 miles south of Lutsen). If you are driving north/east from Tofte you will turn left (away from Lake Superior) onto Ski Hill Road. If you are driving south/west from Lutsen, Ski Hill Road will be on your right. Drive approximately 1.5 miles until reaching Lutsen Mountains. The alpine slide will be on the right.
