Lake Superior is a force to be reckoned with. The lake can produce waves up to 30 feet high and put on a spectacular show. We call them the Gales of Gitchi Gami and this home on Cascade Beach Road in Lutsen, Minnesota shares their name. Like the Gales themselves, this home is breathtaking and beautiful.

Gales of Gitchi Gami is a spectacular, luxury home that sits on 120 feet of private Lake Superior shoreline. The home features four bedrooms, each with an attached bathroom- with two sharing a Jack and Jill style bathroom. The main bathroom features a one-of-a-kind spa-like experience with a steam shower and deep soaker tub that overlooks Lake Superior. On the main level there is a den space that has a full sized bean bag conversion that serves as the fifth sleeping area. The bean bag and the den are recommended for children, not adults.

The spacious open living area features a chef's kitchen, dining room with seating for everyone, and a living room with a floor to ceiling amethyst-surrounded wood-burning fireplace. Indulge in Lake Superior views from the wall to wall windows that lead out to a lake-facing deck. Perfect for a summertime BBQ and enjoying the Gales of Gitchi Gami from the Gales of Gitchi Gami.

Enjoy this amazing location at the start of Cascade Beach Road just a few miles from downtown Lutsen, Minnesota. Here you are surrounded by state parks, outdoor activities, and not far from Lutsen Mountains Recreation Area. Spend the day exploring the North Shore and the evening relaxing with a fire in a lakeside fire pit along the shores of Lake Superior at the Gales of Gitchi Gami.

This Home is Pet Friendly! Pets are welcome in this home with an additional fee. There is a 2 pet maximum.

Camera Warning: There is a ring doorbell at the roadside door of the home for security reasons. Cameras are not used to observe guest behavior and are outside only.

Bean Bag Bed: The bean bag conversion bed is not suitable for adults and recommended for children only. If used, guests need to return the bean bag to its original state before departure. Converting the bean bag to a bed and converting it back requires two people.

Area information

Gales of Gitchi Gami is located near the lovely town of Lutsen and nestled off of the iconic Cascade Beach Road. The Lutsen area offers everything from miles of hiking and biking trails to the Midwest’s premier downhill skiing destination – Lutsen Mountains. Known primarily as a ski resort, during the summer months and fall you can take a scenic gondola ride up to the summit of Moose Mountain. Once you reach the top, enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Superior and the surrounding wilderness. 

Staying on the wilderness trail, Cascade State Park is just down the road and features a gorgeous waterfall following a short, easy hike. You are also just a short drive from several North Shore restaurants and quaint, locally-owned shops, including the North Shore’s first winery and first local coffee roaster.

After a marvelous day of adventure on the North Shore, return to Gales of Gitchi Gami to unwind with the soothing sounds of Lake Superior. Few things are more memorable than falling asleep to the rhythm of one of the world’s largest freshwater lakes dancing on the shoreline.
