If you are looking to experience the North Shore in an authentic historic log cabin, then look no further! Originally built in 1941, Spirit of Superior is an adoring one-bedroom quintessential cabin that has been completely renovated to include modern-day amenities, all while preserving its original vintage charm. Imagine yourself cozying up with a good book in front of an open fire in the old stone fireplace or sitting outside enjoying your morning coffee in one of the Adirondack chairs, as you wake up with the birds and soak in the stillness of the Big Lake just outside of Schroeder, Minnesota.
In addition, this rental comes with a large open living space above the garage. Inside, you will find a wood-burning stove along with a butler's kitchen, a TV/movie hang-out area, a queen-size bed, and a pull-out sofa bed. Oversized French doors open to a private balcony inviting in the sound of the crashing waves while offering another spectacular view!
This secluded gem is situated on 200' of ledge rock that slopes down to the pristine waters of Lake Superior. You will find a natural rock formation that has become the optimum spot for bonfires and s'more roasting.
There is a second small private cabin on the property. It is approximately 90' away from Spirit of Superior. The driveway is shared and occasionally, this cabin will be occupied by the homeowners.
This Home is Dog Friendly! There is a 2-dog maximum with an additional fee and no other pets are permitted.

Located in Schroeder, this property is just a stone's throw away from Sugar Cove Point. A few more miles down the road, at the wayside rest, is an amazing waterfall hike. The opposite direction brings you to the Schroeder Baking Co. for the best scones in town. Lutsen, Temperance River, Grand Marais, and much more, are other nearby places to visit.
